Earlier this year, we completed a large order for a grocery chain based in Europe. The client was opening new stores and needed supermarket display racks that were strong, consistent, and delivered on time. This case study explains how the project was handled from start to finish.
The Client’s Needs
The client sells a wide range of products including packaged food, fresh produce, beverages, and household goods. Each category had different requirements:

- Beverages and canned goods needed high load capacity.
- Fresh produce needed good visibility and ventilation.
- Packaged goods needed adjustable shelves for changing pack sizes.
The Solution
We proposed adjustable metal shelving with a mix of shelf depths and heights. The racks were designed to hold 120 kg per shelf. Reinforced brackets and thicker upright posts were used for heavy sections. Lighter sections used standard shelving for cost efficiency.
Quality and Finish
The client selected a matte white powder coating to match their store concept. Color consistency was critical. We prepared a sample for approval and used the same batch of powder for the entire order to avoid shade variation.
Production and Delivery
Timing was tight. The first shipment needed to arrive within six weeks for the store opening. We split production into two batches:
- Batch 1: Heavy-duty racks for beverages and canned goods.
- Batch 2: Standard racks for produce and packaged goods.
The first batch shipped by sea to meet the opening date. The second batch followed two weeks later.
Result
After installation, the client reported that the racks were stable, easy to assemble, and matched the approved drawings. The store opened on schedule, and the fixtures performed well under daily load.
Conclusion
This project showed that clear communication, careful engineering, and quality control can deliver supermarket display racks on time and on specification. If you are planning a new store or refit, contact us for a quote and project timeline.
